A Day at the Beach

While walking to the beach at 10:30 this morning, I passed a man who was sitting on the grass right across from the Hula Grill. As he slipped behind my field of vision, I heard a sound smilar to that a leather jacket would make against a plastic movie theater seat on a hot night. I turned around to see a satisfied smile on the man's face.

Today was the first not-windy not-rainy day since Sunday, so as mentioned, I headed to the beach for a day of fun in the sun and surf. A surprise came in the form of a SHARK SIGHTED. DO NOT SWIM sign. Apparently, a shark ate a baby whale just off the coast and it caused a veritable bloodlust feeding frenzy. Lifeguards were skimming the shoreline in jetskis warning everyone to not venture too far out into the water. After a few hours of baking in the sun, I stepped into the water, waded a bit, then oops, I fell in, then oops, I dove into a wave, then oops, I was out farther. I cheated and didn't get eaten by a shark. Teeheehee.

Tan Progress: satisfactory to the point of a slight crispiness.
