Last night I discovered that it is possible to have a knife that is *too* sharp. Up until last night, this knife was my favorite because it is so sharp and that no tomato could even give it a dirty look. But all that blew up in my face while I was liberating the broccoli tops from their odious stems and with a slip of the hand, nearly cut the tip of my left middle finger clean off. It bled like a sonofabitch and made the remainder of my lunch preparation that much more difficult.
Needless to say, I did not make grapefruit as planned.
