Having relenquished my car to my mother for the indeterminate near future, I find myself among the ranks of the carless. I have found it both liberating and restrictive in the 5 days since Sweet Justice has left my posession: nice to think "hell, I don't need a damn car", restrictive to know that while the nearest supermarket is merely 1/2 a mile away, I really don't want to walk 1/2 mile in the rain carrying gatorade, soda, and pineapple juice.

But I know I just kidding myself about the liberation part. Carlessness is only exciting in novelty. As such, today I will walk to the shops up the street, perhaps pick up some pollo for lunch, see if that Farmers Market is up for the season yet, and maybe, just maybe take the metro someplace that's not work. Who knows. The world of public transportation is MINE!
