Communication in the Produce Isle

Tonight at the supermarket, a young, non-English-speaking Korean lady approached me, gave me the "please remove your headphones for a sec, I have a quick question for ya" motion and asked me to kindly explain the difference in pricing methods for the broccoli and the cauliflower. I explained with fingers and scale pointing that the broccoli was being priced by the pound but the cauliflower was 2 heads for 4 dollars. She smiled and thanked me, but a moment later, tapped again and indicated she understood the cucumbers were 2 for $1.28 at this store, but what was with the thirty cents to be saved buying them here instead of a competetor?

It's funny how easily one express, "don't worry about that bullshit."
