eideteker -- In this economic/employment climate, what's the proper answer for nosy folks who want to know when you're going to settle down and start a family?
Mom, I'm not going to have kids. I want to make sure Social Security collapses so that you can come and live with me!
I'm choosing to focus on more secure, low-risk/gauranteed yeild investments at this time. Kids are more of a bull market investment.
In this tough economic climate, I really don't think this is any of your business.
Currently, my personal life is under water. I've definitely been making contributions to it in earnest, but I really don't think I have enough capital to bring to the table in order to qualify for a settlement.
renob423 -- what was the 1st bad kid your mom didn't want you hanging out with known for doing? what was the worst bad kid known for doing? I was forbidden from playing with Ricky Leggio after the day she caught us pouring gasoline on capgun caps and hitting them with a hammer. You?
renob423 -- have you ever been the bad kid your friend's parents didn't want them hanging around and what were you known for doing? I was considered a bad kid in high school, which looking back on it was stupid. I was like a John Hughes movie-version of a bad kid. When I found out what the actual bad kids did, I was shocked by it.
I was the bad kid.
I was never the bad kid.
Old-timey word I need to incorporate into my vocabulary:
My personal drawer at work contains:
Nothing much: a few extra napkins or plastic cutlery, some Excederin, and maybe some mints or gum.
A decent amount of stuff: those things, plus various medicines, deoderant, etc.
A veritable away-from-home kit: all of the above, plus backup snacks, assorted grooming accouterments, Stridex pads and bandaids.
